Activinsights Band App

The Activinsights App connects via Bluetooth to your mobile device and regularly uploads your data to our server. The app is compatible with Microsoft, Android and Apple devices. Please see steps below on how to download the app for your device type.

PC Application (Microsoft)

  1. Download the application using the link above.
  2. Double click on the downloaded file and follow the steps outlined in the Installation Wizard.
  3. Once complete, launch the application.
  4. Press and hold the silver button on the Activinsights Band for 5 seconds until the app recognises the band.
  5. When closing the app, make sure to check the tray in your toolbar and exit the app.

Android (Google Play)

  1. Search for Activinsights Band Uploader in the Google Play store and install the app.
  2. Once installed, open the app. Note: The app may ask for permission to access your location and notifications which are required for the connection to the Activinsights Band.
  3. Press and hold the silver button on the Band for it to connect and upload.

Apple iOS (App Store)

  1. Search for Activinsights Band Uploader in the App Store and install the app.
  2. Once installed, open the app and it will look like image 1.
  3. Note: The app may ask for permission to access your Bluetooth and notifications which are required for the connection to the Activinsights Band.
  4. Whilst in the app, press and hold the silver button on the Band for it to connect and upload. When it is connected it will look like image 2.
  5. Once connected, leave the app open on your device for uploads to continue. If it is closed accidently, it will need to be reopened for the Band to upload data.

FAQs and Troubleshooting

Why isn’t the app connecting to my Band?

  • Make sure app is open and running
  • Ensure the main screen isn’t reporting any issues
  • Check notifications
  • Ensure Bluetooth is connected
  • Accepted all permissions
  • You can test that everything is okay by pressing and holding the silver button for a manual upload

Why hasn’t my Band uploaded any data?

  • Make sure the app is open and running
  • Check mobile data in turned on
  • Ensure Bluetooth is connected
  • Check the activity tab for error messages in red. If an error message is displayed, go to the Settings tab and press Upload Support File.

Android

  • If phone switches off or restarts, app will need to be reopened
  • Check the Activity tab for any error messages.
