Activinsights are delivering a workshop at ECSS on ‘Analysing Wearable Data for Performance & Lifestyle’, on Wednesday 5th July, 10.30am – 12pm, M/Sud room at ECSS 2017.
Activinsights will be running an interactive workshop on the first day of ECSS 2017. We will give an overview into the insight professional wearables can deliver to improve health and performance. Topics include:
- Demonstration of raw data biomechanical analysis at 1,000Hz
- Analysis of motor skills in sport to reduce the impact of injury during training
- Sleep in elite athletes and its effect on performance
- Wrist-worn, lifestyle analysis
Open invitation – No registration required. If possible, please bring a laptop.
The workshop will provide a unique opportunity in demonstrating the strengths high frequency, raw data analysis offers in providing additional analytical detail via programmes such as R, Matlab and Excel. Participants will have their own opportunity to experience running R live and applying code for analysing activities such as cricket throwing, running, tennis and swimming analysis. Professional wearables have a beneficial role in a wide range of applications from behaviour change to sport science. They provide objective behavioural monitoring in free-living environments.
Activinsights deliver participant lifestyle insight to healthcare and sports professionals using validated wearables. We work directly with researchers and practitioners, managing and analysing complex behavioural data to improve health and performance.
